Last week, the sixth plenary meeting of the IML4E project took place in Budapest. The Budapest University of Technology and Economics provided the venue, and Vitarex Kft. organized the program as host.
The plenary meeting focused mainly on how to shape the final year of the project and how to plan the remaining work on the IML4E MLOps framework and the use-case applications. Among other things, we decided to make the IML4E OSS platform publicly available as open-source software. We will publish the details over the coming weeks and months.
On the evening of the first day, we held an MLOps meetup, organized by our project partner Gábor Gulyás from Vitarex Kft. The meetup drew a lot of interest.
On the second evening, we visited the Hospital in the Rock in the Buda Castle District together, and then the consortium had dinner together.
As part of the meetup, we gave two talks on work done in the IML4E project. Mohamed Abdelaal from Software AG presented current data preparation and cleaning procedures and tools, and gave an outlook on the role large language models (LLMs) can play in such processes. Janis Lapins from Spicetech gave an overview of the challenges and solutions in testing machine learning models, as well as the approach taken by Spicetech’s tool, Valicy.
On the third day of the plenary meeting, we again held an exciting advisory session with the project’s advisory board, whose participants represented Fabasoft AG, Fraunhofer FOKUS, Vitarex and Reaktor. Overall, this IML4E plenary meeting was useful and successful.
